Caritas Kyrgyzstan is a young organization, the youngest organization in the Caritas Internationalis Confederation. Since its foundation, special attention has been paid to the institutional development of the organization. Our partners from Caritas Internationalis, Caritas Asia, CRS, Caritas Germany, Caritas France, Caritas Japan, and Caritas Korea have always supported and helped in this matter.

In 2023, Caritas Kyrgyzstan completed the СI MS external assessment process and received good points for a young organization. Currently, Caritas Kyrgyzstan, with the support of the CI Solidarity Fund, is working on the implementation of the Improvement Plan based on the results of the external assessment. Trainings were held for employees on CI Safeguarding Policy, CI Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct, Conflict of interest etc. The working group created during the trainings began to develop various documents that are very important for the organization.

Work is also underway to ensure financial transparency and accountability of Caritas Kyrgyzstan. In 2023, it is planned to develop a new accounting policy, and Caritas Kyrgyzstan will undergo an external audit for the first time in its history.
